SSA 1000

Structural Test Analyzer

Bring Technology Into your Classroom

The 7″ X 24″ X 20″ work area allows large structures to be tested. The SSA 1000 is designed to test bridges built to the new International Bridge Building Committee Standards. The area is totally enclosed with high-impact polycarbonate shielding for the protection of you and your students. It also has a safety interlock which does not allow the test to run unless the guard if fully closed. The 7″ X 24″ X 20″ work area allows large structures to be tested. Our New Computer Interface Package with software and interface cable (optional) can graph and store test results of each student.

ALPHA NUMERIC LCD READOUT

Keeps operator informed of test status by displaying force up to 1000 lbs., deflection up to 1.5 inches and senses failure of model locking onto ultimate strength.

MODE ROCKER SWITCH
Allows operator to scroll and select:

CONTINUOUS MODE Places unit in automatic cycle.

INCREMENTAL MODE can be pre-selected by a push of a button, loads from 10 to 100 lbs.

UNIT MODE choose between SAE and Metric units

MAXIMUM FORCE allows operator to select a maximum force from 5 to 1000 lbs, which will not be exceeded.

OUR OPTIONAL TENSILE TESTER UNIT Allows students to show force and elongation of tensile specimens demonstrating yield, strength, strength to weight ratios of various metals (ie: steel vs. aluminum).
